I recently got wireless internet and ever since my laptop keeps crashing and popping up with messages saying i need to install all these virus protections and it keeps going to a blank screen.

First of all, click start, control panel, windows firewall and set your protection to Medium, and while you are at it, make sure the firewall is turned on.

next, being as this sounds like addware, goto,

download, update and run the quick scan of SUPERantispyware.

if this fails then goto,

http://www.trendmicro.com navigate your way to the free programs page and run the free online scan called Housecall.

If it works fine before wireless, chuck the wireless setup. That is what I would do. What good is wireless, if it doesn't work properly?
Okay, listen closely Geezer.... Number 1, install the antivirus and pop-up blocker by following the directions. Number 2, Don't get on the Internet without the antivirus and blocker. Number 3, Keep off the girlie websites!
It would be usefull to know the exact error message you're getting, but it sounds like you might have some addware on your computer, try running a addware removal program like addaware or spybot or anything like that.

Scan your computer with a good anti-virus and anti spam software.
