My computer is running slow?

i had a guy completly clean my computer and reboot it and it still runs slow.i have mcafee virus protection right now.do i have to diable windows firewall and if so how do i do that?

Ensure that all temp files are deleted.Then delete all Internet Temp. Files. Remove unwanted software by using add/remove progrms.

Then carryout disc cleanup and (These can be done in many ways including disc clean up option) then defrg the PC.

You will see that the speed of the PC would have increased after all these operations.

Maybe it's McAfee slowing your PC down. Norton and McAfee are kwnown to be system hogs, and why would you want to disable Windows firewall?
Before you do anything else check if there is spware or some other virus which is slowing down your computer. I know you have Mcafee but use a free utility to scan your computer.
