Computer turned off?

my computer turned off after i took out the power cord off my officejet 5510 because it was messing up, then when i turned my computer on again later in the day my virus protections were corrupted and had to uninstall it. what happened? should i be worried? i have a sony vaio with a new hard drive too. i didnt really see the screen if it showed a blue screen neither i heard it turned off split second after i unplugged the printer then wen i looked at the screen it was already off

start up in safe mode (F8)

go into the following folders and delete all the contents including folders in there

open windows explorer

kill everything in them, spare NONE !

look for suspicious programs or something dont look right in here
