Can you filter junk mail?

My ISP is a company called Wildblue. A Satellite internet company. I use outlook express and don't know how to stop getting junk mail? Is there anyway it can be filtered? They use some company called Postini (don't know who they are) and McAfee virus protection. Is there any thing I can do to stop receiving 1300 junk emails a week?

Yes you can filter it with Outlook Express. Just click on Tools at the top and then Junk Mail. There you will able to set up your filter to block or adjust your email junk mail filter. You can even set it up to only receive emails from addresses that you put on the list. It is your choice on how tight you set it up.
Install a security system on your PC (ie Norton, McAfee, etc). Most of them include a spam filter that works with Outlook Express or Outlook. An antivirus program won't set up a spam filter. A security system usually includes firewall, antivirus and spam control amoung other programs
You can try the steps outlined at the site below and/or invest in a decent spam blocker that works with Outlook Express. I won't endorse or recommend any since I do not use OLE and have first hand knowledge.
