Norton internet security?

I have purched the Norton Internet software last year to help with blocking bad web sites as well as what other things it offers me.

When I load it in the computer to start using the product it said put in key # I did and the log in ok.

I log in and connect to the net the icon comes up that says I am connected.

It says to log in again ok. even though th icon says I am connected to the net the Security want let me even check my e-mail; I am afarid to buy the 2007 addition for fear I will be wasting my money.

I like the virus protection it offers; So what would be the best best software package that would do both, What do I did to do?

when you installed it and put the key id thing in you will need to connect, and than it does the update thing, or you should check for updates (one of the two)

maybe running live update will help if it hasnt been yet
