I am using AVG free version... even though when my auto update am getting an indication that internal database virus relased is so and so please update... Is this any problem... and wont this free version protect me scam messages...

You won't get any spam from using the internet update ... as a matter of fact its very useful since you don't have to look around for it yourself ... plus AVG updates on a daily basis.
Rather do the update ... having a message saying your database is out of date is not a good thing if you consider the number of viruses released each day.

If AVG says its database is out of date that means that the geeks behind Grisoft has found a new 'strain' of virus floating around and want to update AVG just in case it doesn't catch it normally. Its not a big problem, but if the download is free, then there really isn't anything to lose.
