Which offers more protection? Norton or Avast home edition?spyware remover
yes ofcourse u can uninstall norton and install avast but i wouldnt recommend u do it as it affects the system and slows it and that loss could not be recovered unless u re-install ur pc
norton is good and provides good protection
do not even think of installing two antiviruses as a friend said in above ans.
avast is equal to norton but has a pluspoint of boot time scanning. so next time avast will also do but its a bit extra sensitive, so be careful.
goodluck :))

Just maintain Norton and include AVG Anti Virus...with
both you have better protection coverage.
Unfortunately Avast cannot be installed together with Norton
as they will clash . Avest not so well known and possible
protection coverage is smaller than Norton. So go with
Norton and AVG anti virus
Yes you can uninstall norton and install avast and I recommend you do it. I know this goes against the pack here, but Norton is much like McAfee in that it has viri written specifically to target systems running Norton. They will go in and shut down the norton protection but still leave all signs of it running as promised. This allows that virus to spread and additional viri to come in and infect the system. I'm not just making this stuff up as its my business to Maintain and Protect several companies IT infrastructures. I made a killing a few years back with the Klez.H virus that came out, it was a Norton Target virus. Avast works great as I use it all the time.
US Gov't uses Norton for it's daily virus database updates. You can uninstall Norton by using the un-install option or using the control panel add/remove software option. Good luck.
Norton is better as is it has superior database.you can uninstall but better continue with Norton itself.
Norton is by far the very best! It has saved my system from some very severe issues which in any other case could have shut down my computer. My advice is to stay with Norton.
