i have mcafee firewalls plus, mcafee virus protection, and i have the ad aware scan, but if i suspect a hacker or hijacker what can i download to protect my pc from this, but it has to be something compatible with mcafee, thank you

In a sense he is right - a firewall will act as a deterrent to hackers, maybe even cause some novice ones to give up. But if a good hacker has his sights on your computer, there is not much that can be done besides unplug the computer from the internet.

there is no virus protection that will protect you from a hacker. no matter what you put on your comp, a hacker will always get through no matter what
