How should I protect Windows Vista from virus, spyware, etc.?

I usually scrap the Norton stuff and use AVG, Windows firewall, then run spy and ad-ware programs regularly.

But Vista has some built-in protection (Defender) and I'm wondering what is the best way to protect my new PC.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

You already are protecting your PC. You have the 3 components for security (anti-virus, anti-spyware and a firewall) already installed.

I run NOD32 (it's the best anti-virus), windows firewall, Spybot, Ad-Aware and CCleaner.

One thing, it may be wise to install Vista firewall control it works well with Vista and gives you more protection.
