Because if an infected mother gives birth, it is very likely the child will be infected as well. I'm not saying they shouldn't have sex (they should use protection. everyone should, anyway.), I just saying that I don't think they should have children if their kids could get infected.
Do You Think People With the AIDs Virus Shouldn't Have Kids???matchless
People with AIDS can give birth to children perfectly fine without passing it on to them.
If my statistics are right, a natural birth gives a 30% chance of passing the virus on to the child, since it's coming out with a lot of blood. However, if the mother gets a c-section, the baby has an extremely low risk of getting it.
So I say yes, people with AIDS should be allowed to have children. They are still people, and still want to have normal lives.
Do You Think People With the AIDs Virus Shouldn't Have Kids???norton 2008
Personally, I think it is wrong. I have 5 kids, and I could have never done anything that I knew could possibly make them sick. And if I knew I was sick, I wouldn't want my kids to go threw that no matter how slim the chances are they would get it.
But the facts are, a healthy woman with HIV, that is being treated by her doctor for her whole pregnancy, who has a c-section actually only has a 2% or less chance of passing it on to her baby.
I guess for some people the risk isnt great enough to stop them from trying to have their own family.
I don't either.
Why Would Someone Want To Put Their Own Kid Through The Torchure of Having AIDS For The Rest Of Their Life?
Also, If They Do Know They Have It; They Shouldn't Be Having Sex Either. Protection Doesn't Always Work.
That's Why Everyone Who Is Sexually Active Should Get Tested, So They Won't Post The Risk Of Passing It On To Someone They Possibly Care About.
yea i agree ( =
